triggers them, and this is a concern in and of itself. Dysmenorrhea is the leading
cause in teenage girls of chronic short-term school absence and is a common issue
in women of reproductive age. In fact, it is estimated that over 600 million hours
are lost from work each year due to dysmenorrheal. Many women are familiar
with the experience of dysmenorrhea, which can contribute to significant physical
and emotional distress and life disruption.
