The author will discuss and provide a fundamental overviewto AI and Data Analytics in terms of what it actually meanswhen we break down those words, what do we want them torepresent and where can they potentially take us in terms ofmoving forward. Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics arewords that are used more and more in what is seen as the biggestdrivers for many sectors in the not too distant future ifnot presently. Sector’s such as the IT, electronic and roboticsare areas that most will envisage when thinking about AI anddata analytics, an industry that historically is unparalleled withany other sector as in continually improving and evolving tomeet its customer’s requirements, often doubling its specificationat a cheaper price over an extremely short period of time, with revolution and not evolution underpinning the industriesdevelopment. We can also talk about AI and Data Analyticsin terms of specific actual data and technology as a minimumin regard to the gathering, understanding, interpretation andpotential value of data wrapped up in technology. The Authorhowever will provide predominantly a fundamental overviewto any sector or industry that involves not just the analysis ofhard data but the measurement of a value using a scientifictechnique or principle to produce a data point because it ishere that the laws of Artificial Intelligence and Data Analyticschange from the above and could be considered as requiring atotally different approach. Due in part and to be discussed tothe variables in terms of data when a measurement is requiredthat can be infinitely complex, with the biggest issue being thatif all variables are not taken into consideration the potentialfor endless dead end’s and wrong roads resulting in limitedfinal value against market expectations are potentially an unwantedoutcome to AI and data analytical investment in thescientific sectors. To be discussed will be what are valid reasonsbehind why the scientific industries evolve at the pace they doand historically have in comparison with the IT industry, andthe potential issues to AI and data analytics making a substantialimpact into any industry that requires a scientific measurementthat would need to be overcome to provide continuousimprovement via the introduction of AI and data analytics.
