Abstract

Functional Testing of Artificial Pancreas with Islets Secretion Electric Activity

Abison Matisa

A multi randomized clinical study of a novel artificial pancreas system that automatically monitors and manages blood glucose levels discovered that the new system was more successful than conventional therapies at regulating blood glucose levels in persons with type 1 diabetes. The pancreas produces chemicals that regulate blood sugar and aid digestion. You will need to take medications after surgery to manage these functions. This study used intracellular microelectrodes to explore the influence of glucose, L-leucine, and tolbutamide on islet cell membrane potentials.
