Abstract
Monitoring the quality of groundwater on the bank of Cooum River at
Chennai City, Tamil Nadu, India

The groundwater quality of the bank of Cooum River at Chennai was studied. Two groundwater samples were taken near the bank of Cooum River on both sides at eight stations. The study was carried out in pre-monsoon period. The samples were subjected to physico-chemical analysis. The results showed that most of the physicochemical parameters were in higher concentrations at most of the groundwater stations.
