In order to investigate the relationship of leadership styles with achievement motivation and self-efficiency in Iranian taekwondo elites, 115 eligible coaches and athletes in the premier league and first category were chosen as the sample [N=115].To collect data, the following questionnaires were used by a descriptive survey:1 - Burdens and Metzkus[1999] leadership style for coaches, 2 –Scherer, et al General Self-efficiency Scale for beliefs [GSES] [1982],3 – Edwards ‘questionnaire for evaluating the degree of achievement motivation in athletes, [1981]. To analyze the data, descriptive and inferential statistics [Spearman rank correlation, Mann- Whitney] was used. The results showed: there is no significant correlation between the style of humanism management and task management style. Between humanism management style of the coaches and achievement motivation of athletes, a negative and significant correlation as much as p% 5 was observed, pointing to the existence of a negative correlation between the amount of achievement motivation and humanism management style which means the motivation of athletes reduces as a consequence of adopting this style of coaching by the coach. No significant correlation was observed between the degree of self-efficiency of athletes, and human is management style of the coaches. Between task-oriented leadership style of coaches and athletic achievement motivation no relationship has been observed. No significant correlation has been observed between the taskoriented management style of coaches and the athletes' level of self-efficiency. No significant relationship was observed between achievement motivation and self-efficiency of athletes in the study. Between male and female coaches in the study, the selection of human-oriented management style is not significant. There is no significant difference between male and female coaches in the selection of task-oriented leadership style. Regarding achievement motivation between male and female athletes, there was no statistically significant difference. Between male and female athletes, there was no significant difference in efficiency rates. It could finally be said that leadership style of the coaches is related to the achievement motivation of the taekwondo athletes and also their level of self-efficiency. It is advised that the authorities apply proper efforts in order to advance and upgrade these three variables
