Blood pressure is a vital sign that plays a central role in maintaining the health and function of the cardiovascular system. It is a measure of the force exerted by the circulating blood against the walls of the arteries, and it provides important insights into the body's overall well-being. It is a measure of the maximum force applied to arterial walls. Diastolic Pressure: The lower value reflects the pressure in the arteries when the heart is at rest between beats. It indicates the minimum pressure in the arterial system. Blood pressure is typically recorded as systolic pressure over diastolic pressure.
