This case report aims to showcase an innovative surgical strategy employed in treating complex endometriosis. By focusing on the diagnostic intricacies and the utilization of advanced surgical techniques, this report contributes to the growing body of knowledge aimed at refining therapeutic interventions for severe endometriotic cases [1].
The patient, a 35-year-old woman, presented with debilitating pelvic pain, dyspareunia, and infertility. Initial assessments, including pelvic ultrasound and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), indicated the presence of extensive endometriotic lesions involving the pelvic organs. However, the unique complexity of the case, including the involvement of bowel and ureter, prompted the adoption of an innovative surgical approach [2].
The surgical procedure involved a combination of laparoscopic excision and robotic-assisted techniques, enabling precise removal of endometriotic lesions while preserving surrounding healthy tissue. Intraoperative challenges, such as the meticulous dissection around delicate structures and the need for ureteral stent placement, were navigated successfully. The innovative use of technology facilitated a comprehensive exploration of the pelvic cavity, ensuring thorough excision of endometriotic lesions [3].
Postoperatively, the patient experienced a significant reduction in pelvic pain, and subsequent follow-ups revealed improvements in fertility outcomes.
