In this article, we explore the significance of surveillance, its key components, and its impact on public health outcomes. Surveillance serves as an early warning system for detecting emerging health threats and monitoring the spread of infectious diseases. Through the collection and analysis of health data from various sources, including healthcare facilities, laboratories, and public health agencies, surveillance enables the identification of patterns, trends, and clusters of disease, allowing for timely intervention and control measures.
