However, despite its benefits, recipients of liver transplants face a myriad of postoperative complications, including the risk of de novo hepatitis E virus (HEV) infection. Understanding the incidence and risk factors associated with HEV infection in this vulnerable population is crucial for optimizing patient outcomes and informing clinical management strategies. A comprehensive retrospective cohort study, conducted by researchers at [Institution], sought to elucidate the dynamics of de novo HEV infection following liver transplantation.
