Diversity & Equality in Health and Care is concerned with the equitable provision of healthcare and services for members of diverse social groups and settings in all countries in the world. Diversity is seen as a very broad concept, embracing areas including (but not limited to) race, culture and ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender, migrants, carers, disabilities (including physical, communication and learning), spirituality, and underserved or marginalized populations. Diversity also extends to the wide variety of settings in which care takes place and the multidisciplinary nature of professional practice.
