I did my Ph.D. from Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, Kolkata and M.Tech in Biotechnology from IIT Kharagpur. I have been working in the area of RNA biology and epigenetics in human diseases for last 12 years. I have published my research in several reputed international journals - Nucleic Acids Research, Scientific Reports, RNA Biology, PLoS One, DNA Research, RNA, BBRC etc. Besides, I have contributed significantly to popularizing science through books and other media. I have co-authored a text-book ?Bioinformatics-Principles and Applications? by Oxford University Press (ISBN: 9780195692303) and a research book ?Regulatory RNAs: Basics, Methods and Applications? published by Springer-Verlag, Heidelberg (ISBN: 978-3-642-22516-1). I am currently serving as Editor of Scientific Reports (NPG journal) and Academic Editor of PLoS One besides serving as editorial board member in three international journals. Moreover, I have been selected as Member of National Academy of Science, India (MNASc) in 2015.
