Dr. Daniele Contini received his Degree in Physics in 1994 and his Ph.D. in Energy Engineering in 1999 at the University of Florence. He became Researcher (permanent staff) in 2001 at the Institute of Atmospheric Sciences and Climate (ISAC-CNR) of the National Research Council (Italy). He became Senior Researcher in 2007 and Head of Division in 2009. His main research interest is the study of atmospheric composition changes with specific focus on the dynamics of primary and secondary particulate matter and gaseous pollutants. He is member of the Associazione Nazionale di Ingegneria del Vento (ANIV, from 2000); of the Italian Physics Society (SIF, from 2004). From 2012 he is member of the Directive Committee of the Italian Aerosol Society (IAS) and Secretary general of the European Aerosol Assembly (2016-2018). Dr. Contini has published about 65 refereed journal papers and more than 140 contributions to Conferences.
His main research interest is the study of atmospheric composition changes with specific focus on the dynamics of primary and secondary particulate matter and gaseous pollutants.
