Dr. César González-Blanch works as a Clinical Psychologist at the University Hospital Marqués de Valdecilla (Santander, Spain) and also Associate Professor in the Department of Medical Psychology at University of Cantabria (Spain) and Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne (Australia). His clinical and research interests lie in early-intervention approaches in the first episode of psychosis, particularly cognitive and psychosocial aspects of the disorder. He has published widely on these areas, including a jointly authored book titled "Prevention of Antipsychotic-Induced Weight Gain in Young People with Psychosis : A Multimodal Psychological Intervention". Dr. González-Blanch is member of several editorial boards. Since 2009, he serves as a President of the National Association of Clinical Psychologist and Residents (ANPIR), Spain.
Research interests: Schizophrenia, First-episode psychosis, Cognition, Psychological therapies.
