Dr. Charmaine Tang is an Associate Consultant currently working in the Department of Early Psychosis Intervention at the Institute of Mental Health (IMH), Singapore. She obtained her MRCPsych degree in 2013 and her Masters in Clinical Investigation from the National University of Singapore in 2016. She has had a broad range of exposure to various psychiatry subspecialties, but her interest is in early psychosis intervention and youth mental health. She has been actively involved in research, both with the Early Psychosis Intervention Program (EPIP) and the Community Health Assessment Team (CHAT).
Research Interest is mainly in first-episode psychosis (FEP). More specifically, she is interested in treatment resistance and clozapine, as well as metabolic issues in patients with FEP.
