Dr. Edward J. Drea

Biography

Dr Drea completed his BSc degree and later received his Doctor of Pharmacy in 1986 from the University of Iowa. Since then, he has accrued a multitude of pharmacy, managed care, and pharmaceutical industry experience, including leading outcomes trials in prostate cancer and multiple myeloma as well as health economic models for therapy management in prostate, colorectal, and myeloma. ? Dr Drea is presently Director of Medical Managed Care at Sanofi GenzymeSanofi-Genzyme. In his current position, Dr Drea provides comprehensive medical and scientific information in connection with Sanofi-Genzyme oncology products and assists in the development of medical communications and publications related to health outcomes research. Dr Drea has served as a clinical manuscript reviewer for The Annals of Pharmacotherapy for 28 years and, most recently, has become a Reviewer of Research Abstracts for ISPOR. He is a former clinical professor with Grand Canyon University and has held clinical assistant professor positions with the University of Arizona, Midwestern University ? Glendale (AZ), and the University of Illinois Colleges of Pharmacy.. Prior to his current position, he served on national and regional pharmacy and therapeutics committees as well as regional institutional review board.
