I was born in Denizli, Turkey. I completed the primary education in Nikfer. I went high school in Izmir Inonu High School with TUBITAK (Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey) scholarship. I graduated from Ege University, Faculty of Medicine. I did psychiatry specialization in Psychiatry Department, Pamukkale University. I am still working as an Associate Professor in Department of Psychiatry, Faculty of Medicine, Pamukkale University. Im a psychodrama group psychotherapist. I completed psychodrama group psychotherapy education at Abdulkadir Ozbek Psychodrama Institute in Izmir. I have been working in consultation liaison psychiatry and geropsychiatry. I am continuing the coordination of the Consultation Liaison Psychiatry Work Unit of the Turkish Psychiatric Association since June 2016. I am married. I have two daughters.
Research Interest includes on mood disorders especially depression (neurobiology, cognitive functions and psychotherapy).
