Dr. Julia Mackaronis earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Utah, completed the Southwest Consortium Doctoral Internship, and completed a Clinical Psychology Postdoctoral Fellowship in Interprofessional Couple and Family Health at the VA Puget Sound Health Care System Seattle Division. She is currently working as a licensed clinical psychologist at Neuroeducation, in Spokane, Washington. Dr. Mackaronis provides evaluations and treatment for adults, adolescents, and children experiencing psychological or cognitive difficulties that cause problems with their interpersonal and academic/occupational functioning. She specializes in couples and sex therapy, improving interpersonal problems or communication skills, coping with trauma, and disordered eating. Dr. Mackaronis has co-authored seven publications and three book chapters, and enjoys presenting her research findings at the local and national levels.
