Dr. Mohamed Khalifa is Consultant and Director of Medical and Clinical Informatics at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He is also a Part Time Faculty Member at the American University in Cairo, Egypt, teaching Health Information Management and Healthcare Management. Dr. Khalifa?s current work is focused mainly on developing the utilization of health information resources in improving the performance of hospitals and healthcare services through evidence based operational and strategic healthcare management. He has many publications on improving healthcare performance using health analytics and informatics applications. Besides academic undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, Dr. Khalifa works in the field of training healthcare professionals on using health information resources and health analytics.
My research interests are: Health Informatics, Medical Informatics, Electronic Health (Medical) Records, Clinical Decision Support, Hospital Information Systems, E-health and Telemedicine, Healthcare Management.
