Dr. Silvia Helena Koller

Silvia H Koller, the 2010 SRA International Fellow, is Brazilian and works as Professor and Chair of the Center for Psychological Studies on At Risk Children, Youth and Families at the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. She was Associate Editor of the International Journal of Behavioral Development, member of the Scientific Committee of the International Society for Research in Behavioral Development (ISSBD) Biennial Meetings (Belgium, Canada, Australia, Germany, Zambia), one of the organizers of the Brazilian Workshop of ISSBD in 2007, served on the Executive Committee and as the Ad Hoc Representative of Latin America for ISSBD. She is member of the International Committee of SRCD and serves on the Executive Board of the Interamerican Society of Psychology (SIP). Her research focusing primarily on ecological development, populations at risk, street children and positive psychology has been supported by the Kellogg Foundation, World Childhood Foundation, World Bank, EveryChild and various Brazilian agencies. Dr. Koller has published in several international and Brazilian journals.
Research focuses primarily on positive and ecological development and applied psychology, childrens rights, resilience, and prosocial moral development.
