Born on March 16th, 1977 in Merate (Lecco, Italy). In 2003 she graduated in Medicinal Chemistry Sciences, Faculty of Pharmacy, at the University of Milan and obtained qualification for the profession of Pharmacist. In 2004-2005 she was visiting scientist at the Protein Structure Factory, Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics, Berlin, Germany. In 2007 she received her PhD degree in Endocrinology and Metabolic Sciences at the Institute of Endocrinology, University of Milan. From 2008, Dr. Dozio performed her postdoctoral training at the Chair of Clinical Pathology, Department of Biomedical Science for Health, University of Milan. In 2016 she obtained specialization in Nutritional Sciences at the University of Milan. From 2016 she is Assistant Professor in Clinical Pathology at the, Department of Biomedical Science for Health. She is a delegate member of the Italian Society of Pathology and Translational Medicine.
She has experience in basic, translational and clinical studies. She is interest in obesity and obesity-related cardio-metabolic diseses, with a great interest in epicardial adipose tissue pathophysiology.
