He has two degrees: Biological Sciences and Pharmacy (working: clinical and toxicological analysis), from the Federal University of Amazonas (UFAM); he has a Masters and Doctorate in Biotechnology, also from UFAM, concentration area: Biotechnologies for Health. During his academic career he has been developing and participating in research and teaching in the areas of Clinical and Metabolic Biochemistry, Clinical and Molecular Pharmacology, Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics of Microorganisms (Bacteria and Bacteriophages), Silencing and Gene Disruption in Bacteria, Antisense Technologies. He is a career professor at the School of Health Sciences (ESA) of the State University of Amazonas (UEA), disciplines: Cellular and Metabolic Biochemistry and Clinical Biochemistry; he was General Coordinator of the 1st Course in Pharmacy at UEA (ENADE 4); is leader of the Research Group (CNPq) multidisciplinary entitled: Biochemistry, Pharmacology and Microbiology of Pathological States. He works as a collaborator of the Multiinstitutional Graduate Program in Biotechnology, at UFAM, and the Multicenter Program of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, at UEA.
