Ibnelwaleed Ali Hussein

Biography

Dr. Hussein is a Research Professor at the Gas Processing Center, College of Engineering, Qatar University. He graduated from University of Khartoum, with First Class Honors in Chemical Engineering, in 1985. He obtained his PhD from University of Alberta, Canada in 1999. His experience includes 15 years of academic work at KFUPM and about 4 years in the oil industry. His specialization is in the areas of Polymers and Rheology with specific interest in the areas of EOR, water control, stimulation and flow of complex fluids. He received many Awards, Scholarships, Prizes and Nominations at University of Khartoum, Sudan and University of Alberta, Canada and he published more than 120 refereed journal articles and 6 patents. Dr. Hussein received ?KFUPM Distinguished Researcher Award? in 2005, 2010 and 2015. He is a member of the Editorial board of the Open Petroleum Engineering Journal and a member of the Society of Rheology and Society of Petroleum Engineers. In addition, he is the Chemical Engineering Editor of the Arabian Journal for Science & Engineering. Dr. Hussein has completed about 30 research projects and supervised about 40 MS and PhD students.
