Research interests focus on the mechanisms of brian ageing and age-related neurodegenerative diseases. Among the laboratory?s accomplishments and ongoing activities are (i) epigenetic basis in neurodegeneration of Ataxia-Telangiectasia, (ii) epigenetic basis in brain ageing, (iii) epigenetic basis in neurodegeneration of Alzheimer?s disease (AD), (iv) development of sporadic AD nonhuman primate animal models. Besides, authenticate and screen the small molecule compound, remedying the specific epigenetic regulatory system change, which for the future clinical diagnosis and preventive treatment to provide theoretical and experimental basis is also one of our major research interest.
