Dr. Du got his BS in Genetics from Peking University in 1985 and his Ph.D. in 1989. He was appointed as an Assistant Professor in 1996?Emory University School of Medicine, and Associate Professor at Cardiovascular Division, Kansas University Medical Center in 2001. He joined Beijing Institute of Heart, Lung and Blood Vessel Diseases, and Beijing AnZhen Hospital in 2008. He is an Associate Editor of Arteriosclerosis Thrombus Vascular Biology and Cardiovascular Toxicology. His basic research is focused on the role of inflammation in cardiovascular diseases. He also directs several genetic research projects for etiology of aorta aneurysm/dissection, cardiomyopathy, arteriosclerosis, heart failure, arrhythmia, pulmonary hypertension and hypertension
