His research intrest of the labolatory is to define the physiological and molecular mechanisms that link mitochondrial function to cellular homeostatis, with an emphasis on understanding the degree of molecular defects and the consequences of such molecular defects to systemic homeostatis. We explore with broad scientific with 2 specific approaches that are that are unique to mitochondria:- 1. Mitochondria is transport the essential components of this membrane bound organelle. 2. Mitochondrial oxidative stress,an integeral part of mitochondrial respiration essential for overall celular bioenergatics with two specific approaches that are unique to mitochondria.
The over all research intrest of the laboratory is to define the physiological and molecular mechanisms that link mitochondrial function to cellular homeostatis, with an emphasis on understanding the degree of molecular defects and the consequences of such molecular defects to systemic homeostatis.
