Biography

Rajiv Mohan PhD is an Endowed Chair Professor of Ophthalmology and Molecular Medicine at the University of Missouri, Columbia, USA and a Research Career Scientist in the Harry S. Truman Veterans? Hospital Columbia, Missouri. He is also a Director of Ophthalmology One-health One-medicine Research Center and Director of Resident Research at the Mason Eye Institute at the University of Missouri. Dr. Mohan is a global leader in ophthalmology specially in the field of corneal wound healing, gene therapy and nanomedicine. He has authored more than 130 peer-reviewed journal articles, over 350 abstracts, and many book chapters as well as delivered numerous invited, keynote, and platform lectures at different universities, hospitals and research institutions of over 20 countries worldwide. He has received numerous prestigious national and international awards including the ?Gold Fellow? title from the world?s largest eye research society, Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, USA. He serves in the Editorial Board of many journals and assists in organizing symposia, conferences, platform sessions, and special interest meetings at the Asia-ARVO, the World Ophthalmology Congress, and the International Society for Eye Research. Dr. Mohan?s research program is continually funded from the NIH, the United States Department of Veteran Affairs and many non-federal agencies.
