My current work is centered on developing and integrating innovative machine learning approaches in clinical informatics. As a research fellow at Mayo Clinic, I have been working on an R01 NLM-funded project, which aims to accurately retrieve ad hoc cohorts from clinical data repository. In addition to the R01 project, I also leverage statistical models and information extraction techniques to help physicians systematically review healthcare disparities from the literature and analyze the Electronic Health Records. I have published over 10 research articles since I joined Mayo Clinic in 2015. Prior to joining Mayo Clinic, my research emphasized on theoretical analysis of indexing and ranking methods in information retrieval.
My research interests include clinical and medical information retrieval, machine learning and data mining applications in medical and clinical informatics.
