Abstract:

The main target of this talk is to share with you some interesting cataract surgeries cases performed in our hospital last year. As is known worldwide, cataract surgery is one of the most frequently performed surgeries. This presents a wide variety of techniques, strategies and the appearance of possible complications. These cases represent challenges and surgeons must be prepared to confront them. For this reason, the complete pre-surgical evaluation of the patient and the ability to establish the appropriate strategy become paramount. The more successful our strategy, the better our results will be. Nowadays, these surgeries are not only made to extract a senile cataract or a post traumatic cataract, but also, they are performed for refractive purposes. Each of these options represents different challenges that we face every day.
