Implantable cardiovascular defibrillator is a battery powered device placed under the skin that keeps track of the heart rate. Thin wires connects ICD to heart. If an abnormal heart rhythm is detected then device will deliver an electric shock to restore a normal heartbeat if heart beats fast. It will be controlled by defibrillator.
