Diagnosis usually requires a full medical history, Neurological examination, Imaging tests like CT or MRI scans Imaging tests, Nerve biopsy and Skin biopsy. Wide range of symptoms are seen due to damage of peripheral nerves numbness and tingling in the feet or hands , burning, stabbing or shooting pain in affected areas, loss of balance and co-ordination, muscle weakness especially in the feet.
