Metals plays a major role in human health, while some are needed by the body in certain concentration with concentration above the allowed limit resulting in major health issues, some on the other metals like Pb, Cd, As and Cr just to mention a few are of no value to the human body even in low concentration and in view of this , the result of findings of Cu, Cd, Cr, Fe and Pb contents in Power oil (PO), Golden oil (GO), Actival oil (AO) & King oil (KO) was analyzed after they were digested using Absorption Atomic Spectrophotometer (AAS) and the metal concentration varies as thus, 0.034 – 0.100, 0.000 – 0.002, 0.000 – 0.013, 0.100 – 0.173 and 0.001 – 0.012 for Cu, Cd, Cr, Fe and Pb respectively all in mg/kg with all the concentrations below the limit set by regulatory bodies.Furthermore the health risk assessment due to the consumption of this oil was ..
