    An ovarian cyst is a sac filled with fluid or semisolid material that develops in the ovaries. Ovarian cysts can occur in women of any age, but they are more common in women who are still menstruating. Postmenopausal women have a lower risk of developing ovarian cysts. However, when they do occur, they are more likely to be cancerous. Giant ovarian cyst adenoma is a rare condition that affects postmenopausal women.
