Psoriasis is a relatively common immune mediated, chronic, genetically determined, scaly
inflammatory disease which primarily affects the skin and secondarily the joints. Various sources have
noted the prevalence rates of this condition as between 1% to 2% and 2% to 4%, with ranges from
between 0.5% to 4.6% of the population. The most common form of the psoriasis is the plaque type,
