Socioeconomics, Ethnogeriatrics, and Social Determinants of Health: Correlations in Hypertension Patients

This study explores the impact of Social Determinants of Health (SDOH): diet/nutrition, food insecurity, physical activity, ethno geriatrics, and socio economic factors on hypertension patients living in underserved, low income, and urban communities. Baseline data from January to May 31, 2021, was compared to post data in June and July 2021. This two fold research attempted to predict what cultural factors lead to compliance in achieving lower blood pressure levels. Investigations of the statistical differences between variables were used in a multivariate analysis and were compared amongst pre and post data.
