Participative leadership VS Servant Leadership on Innovative Work Behavior: Role of Psychological Empowerment as Mediator

Participative and servant leadership have been studied for their influence on IWB. However, the role of psychological empowerment has not been thoroughly elucidated in this model. Therefore, this study aims to examine the influence of participative and servant leadership on IWB and the role of psychological empowerment as a mediator. This study used a quantitative method with an SEM-PLS design on 155 respondents from the batik handicraft industry in Central Java, Indonesia. Variables were measured using a 1-5 Likert scale questionnaire. SmartPLS was used for data analysis to test measurements and structural models. The results showed that participative and servant leadership had a positive and significant effect on IWB. Psychological empowerment also has a positive and significant effect on IWB.
